Questions, answered
Will it work with my email provider?
Yes — any service that offers authenticated SMTP: Google Workspace / Gmail, Microsoft 365, Amazon SES, Postmark, Mailgun, SendGrid, Brevo, your web host’s mail server, or your own. You supply the host, port, encryption, and credentials; the plugin does the rest.
What does the Mail Log record?
Every wp_mail() attempt — recipients, subject, time, and whether it was handed off successfully or failed, with the exact error message on failures. You control retention (default 30 days, or keep entries forever), can filter by status, and can clear or disable logging entirely.
Can I keep the SMTP password out of the database?
Yes — define EECONS_SMTP_PASSWORD (and any other EECONS_SMTP_* constants) in wp-config.php. Constants override dashboard settings, the password never lives in the options table, and the admin screen shows a production-mode notice so the configuration source is always clear.
How many sites can I use one license on?
As many as you manage. The license is lifetime and valid on unlimited sites — including staging and local development copies, which don’t even require activation.
What happens if I don’t activate a license?
Your email keeps working — delivery is never license-gated, and nothing in the plugin stops functioning. The license entitles you to automatic plugin updates and support.
